"The Harlem Globetrotters showed up at Shea today."

My Twins had a rough game last night. *Tear* Silva didn't start off too bad. And he had some great defense going on behind him. We had some trouble getting the offense going and Rincon had a tough time too.

There were definitely some highlights from the game though. All of which happened in the 5th inning. The Twins came up with three amazing defensive plays to get the outs. First, Cuddyer caught a fly ball at the wall. Then, Castillo fielded a ball behind his back to get the force-out at 2nd. And finally, Jason Kubel made a running/diving catch in left field for the final out of the inning.

All three were Web Gem nominees on Baseball Tonight. Castillo came in at #8 and Kubel's catch was #3. Yay! One of the commentators on BT said, "Yeah, the Harlem Globetrotters showed up at Shea today." The other guy didn't get it at first, it was pretty classic.

Both of those also made the Top 10 plays on SportsCenter. Castillo was #9 and Kubel was #5. The SportsCenter chick said she liked Kubel's catch better than the one that was #3. Yay! SportsCenter chick was full of good quotes. After the highlights from the 5th inning she said, "But then the Mets were killing the Twins anyway." Haha, I cracked up!

Boyfriend of the Day: Jason Kubel

Um, duh. With a catch like that, he's the clear boyfriend today :)
